Vinovalie and Château de Cayx
On April 21, 2015, a collaboration agreement was signed with Château de Cayx, reaffirming the development and strategic partnerships between Vinovalie and private wineries.__________
This new estate joins eight others that are found in the Gaillac, Fronton and Cahors appellations, including a wide range of exceptional wines. The agreement between Prince consort Henrik of Denmark and Jacques Tranier is a cooperation agreement which includes the leasing of the farm, the leasing of cellars and the marketing of the wines of Château de Cayx, the royal property of the Cahors appellation.
Castle Cayx is built on the hillside overlooking the heart of the vineyards of Cahors. This property, belonging to Prince consort Henrik of Denmark, of French origin, since 1967, has a vineyard of 21 hectares, mainly of Malbec grape, an indigenous grape of the Cahors appellation. Produced from vines planted on the clay-limestone terraces around the castle, the wines of Château de Cayx have delicate aromas of ripe black fruits and spices that make it one of the great estates of the appellation with real cellaring potential.
Today, we are happy to share this beautiful cooperation with you !
