Vinovalie and Cave de Labastide join forces for a new cooperative era
The Vinovalie and Cave de Labastide wine cooperatives announce their official merger.Marking a major milestone in the South-West wine landscape. This merger, approved by a large majority at the extraordinary general meetings held on 27 February for Cave de Labastide and 28 February for Vinovalie, opens up new prospects for wine growers and markets.

Faced with profound shifts in the wine market, this merger stands as a strategic and necessary response. Vinovalie and Cave de Labastide, drawing on their histories and complementary expertise, are pooling their skills, resources and visions to strengthen their competitiveness and better meet consumer expectations. Vinovalie, recognised for its investment in still wine production, offers a wide range of profiles, from the most traditional to the most innovative. Cave de Labastide, for its part, has developed exceptional expertise in sparkling wine production. This complementarity is a strength that will enable the offering to be diversified and enriched on the market.
A merger validated by cooperative members
Put to a vote by members at extraordinary general meetings, the merger was adopted by a large majority, confirming the shared desire to place both entities within a dynamic of shared growth and innovation. Voting results:
- Cave de Labastide: 52 voters; 100% in favour
- Vinovalie: 354 voters; 90% in favour

The completion of this coming-together opens the door to many opportunities:
- Consolidation of presence on national and international markets, with a diversified and complementary offering that respects each entity's brand territory; La Maison Labastide retains its commercial structure.
- Optimisation of production resources, through the pooling of infrastructure and technical and oenological expertise.
- Strengthening of innovation and R&D, to anticipate market developments and meet evolving consumer expectations.
- Enhanced recognition of wine growers' work, by boosting the competitiveness and profitability of their operations.
