Démon Noir is the mischievous creation of our oenologist Jean-Noel Barrau and a reference to the legend of the little devil from the Cahors city.

IGP Comté Tolosan

This Fruity White wine draws its richness from the loamy and colluvial deposits in the south-west. Made using modern techniques, this wine is the perfect expression of the grape.

A history

The Cahors city needed a bridge worthy of its name... It is said that, infuriated by the construction’s slow progress, the foreman decided to do a deal with a little devil in exchange for his soul. The end of the work approached and the foreman attempted to cheat the little devil and was therefore cursed for his deceit. The top of the central tower of the Valentré Bridge collapsed and he was never able to complete his task. Half a century later, a stone statue of the little devil was built to commemorate the story. Today, our devilish oenologist Jean-Noel Barrau presents his latest mischievous creation with this Fruity White, a new little devil in Cahors.
